PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Immaculate Heart Middle & High School
The Immaculate Heart Middle & High School signage project involved the planning, permitting, fabrication, and installation of a comprehensive signage package designed to enhance campus wayfinding and visibility. As Project Manager, I led the project from the initial site evaluation through final implementation, ensuring alignment between the client's goals, design intent, and construction requirements.

The project began with an on-site survey where I documented existing conditions and gathered field measurements to inform the design process. I worked closely with the graphic designer to coordinate artwork, layouts, and production files, then managed the transfer of finalized assets to fabrication vendors. Throughout the project, I served as the central point of coordination between the school, design team, fabricators, and installers, maintaining schedules, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring quality control at every stage.

A key component of the project included securing permits for the monument sign and navigating local approval requirements to keep the project on track. Once fabrication was complete, I coordinated installation logistics and oversaw project execution through completion. The result was a cohesive signage system that successfully met functional, regulatory, and aesthetic objectives while providing a seamless experience for both the client and project stakeholders.

The Pack
Amazon
In 2020, I joined Amazon's international competition series The Pack during a highly ambitious production that required filming across multiple countries and continents within an aggressive timeline. As Art Director, I managed the planning, coordination, and execution of complex location-based projects, ensuring creative, operational, and logistical requirements remained aligned throughout production.

Working across multiple time zones, I coordinated with local crews, vendors, translators, permitting agencies, and production departments to deliver location builds and challenge environments under demanding schedules. With production moving rapidly between countries, I frequently managed concurrent workflows, overseeing project execution in one location while planning upcoming installations in another. Success depended on maintaining clear communication, tracking shifting priorities, and resolving issues before they impacted production.

I was required to constantly adapt to changing conditions, including weather delays, customs regulations, local restrictions, and unforeseen on-site challenges. By collaborating closely with produers and vendors, I developed practical solutions that kept projects on schedule while maintaining the production's creative and operational objectives. Each location presented unique requirements, demanding detailed planning, resource coordination, and rapid decision-making to support a seamless filming experience.

The most significant challenge occurred just before the planned season finale in Miami, when production was halted due to the COVID-19 shutdown. As part of the team responsible for evaluating next steps, I helped navigate project suspension, asset management, and contingency planning during an unprecedented disruption. When production resumed several months later under newly established health and safety protocols, I supported the coordination and execution of a redesigned finale in Utah. Through careful planning, cross-department collaboration, and adherence to evolving production guidelines, the team successfully completed one of the industry's earliest large-scale television productions to restart during the pandemic.

Tough As Nails
CBS
On Tough As Nails, every challenge had to feel real, rough, and rooted in the kind of work that doesn’t always get the spotlight—but keeps everything running. As one of three art directors on the season, I worked hand in hand with the challenge department to conceptualize and execute large-scale physical challenges that felt authentic, camera-ready, and built to last.

I led art direction on four episodes including the season premiere and finale. Each challenge site came with its own unique demands: variable terrain, limited build time, and the need for total reliability. My focus was on designing immersive, durable environments that honored the spirit of skilled labor and delivered a seamless experience for both competitors and production.

From the first episode to the last, the challenges I oversaw ran without a hitch -- no game failures, no set malfunctions. That consistency came from careful planning, tight collaboration, and a respect for the physical and emotional stakes of the competition. It wasn’t just about building sets—it was about building trust in the experience.
